Description
This is Nia (#4)
I'm adopting him to try and broaden my skills as a mediocre artist I drew ~JEAikman's lion Elimu
and
And I really enjoyed drawing him So I'm going to try to do a bit more Lions, starting with Nia
Jordann is ALSO letting me use her two characters Hana (red lioness here ) and Nuru (dark lion here ) (BOTH featured in the above character dump ) as his parent "...they could have had a fling in their younger days or something "
So here he is! At least as a cub...... almost colored
So Elimu, Hana, Nuru, and the design for Nia is (c) ~JEAikman
Drawing and Nia is (c) =OceanLoreGraphics

He looks great so far Just watch when you're drawing lions that they don't end up looking too much like horses - The legs should probably be a little shorted and stockier, the tail a bit thicker at the base. And if he's a cub, the ears should be bigger in comparison to his head I think it's great that you're trying to branch out as an artist - that's the best way to improve your skills. There are loads of great lion stock photos on dA if you want to get a feel for shading and lighting I'm sure there are plenty of good tutorials as well, if you ever get stuck. Of course, if you ever want me to redline or anything, feel free to ask
